West Virginia Reopening Guidelines

Since Gov. Jim Justice unveiled his comprehensive plan to getting West Virginia on the road to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, guidelines have been presented to aid businesses during the six-week reopening process. We are now in the Weeks 3-6 phase which is focused on several businesses, including: office/government buildings, specialty retail stores, parks and/or restrooms and facilities at parks, gyms, fitness centers, recreation centers, dine-in restaurants, hotels, casinos, spas/massage establishments, and other businesses. We encourage local business owners to review these guidelines and to stay up-to-date with briefings from the Office of the Governor.

The current schedule for reopenings could be impacted if West Virginia’s number of positive COVID-19 cases surge above the 3% threshold. For more information, please visit governor.wv.gov. During the reopening process, it is recommended and encouraged that West Virginians continue to practice good social distancing and wear face coverings in public where physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
