Apply Now: 2025 Wyoming County Community Fund Scholarship

The Wyoming County Community Fund (WCCF) is proud to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Scholarship Grant, designed to support students and adults pursuing higher education in Wyoming County. This one-time scholarship aims to assist residents who are dedicated to furthering their academic goals at the Wyoming County Career & Technical Center or Southern WV Community & Technical College.

About the Scholarship
The scholarship grant offers $2,500 in total—$1,250 for the Fall 2025 semester and $1,250 for the Spring 2026 semester. One scholarship will be awarded, with funds intended to support tuition, fees, and other educational expenses. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria, including being a Wyoming County resident with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and a commitment to enrolling as a full-time student.

Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to high school seniors attending Wyoming County high schools, students currently enrolled at the Wyoming County Career & Technical Center or Southern WV Community & Technical College, and adults returning to school, including those with an Adult Basic Education (ABE) Certificate. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate prior work experience, community service involvement, or completion of ABE requirements.

Application Process
Applicants must submit the following materials by 4:00 p.m. on April 10, 2025:

• One original and one copy of the complete proposal
• Proposal cover sheet
• Proposal narrative (typed, not exceeding three pages)
• Official transcript and/or ABE scores
• Any additional supporting information (optional)

The proposal narrative should address the following questions:

1. “According to the eligibility criteria, please describe why you feel you should receive this scholarship.”
2. “How will this scholarship assist you with attaining your educational goals?”
3. “What ideas would you have to help stimulate the economy in Wyoming County?”
