Wyoming County Economic Development Authority Welcomes New Board Members

The Wyoming County EDA is excited to introduce our new board members who have joined us over the past year. Their diverse backgrounds and wealth of experience will undoubtedly enhance our efforts to support economic development in the region.

Debra Beavers

Debbie serves as the Branch Manager in Pineville for Summit Community Bank. Her extensive experience in the banking sector will be invaluable as we continue to provide financial support and guidance to businesses in Wyoming County. Debbie’s deep understanding of the local economy and her commitment to community development make her a tremendous asset to our board.

John Henry

John is the Superintendent of Wyoming County Schools. His role in education provides him with unique insights into the needs of our community’s future workforce. John’s perspective will be crucial as we work to align our economic development initiatives with educational opportunities, ensuring that our local businesses have access to a well-prepared and skilled workforce.

Jacob Jones

Jacob is a Town Council member for Oceana and is employed by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). His dual roles in local government and federal administration offer a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and community needs. Jacob’s experience will help us navigate the complexities of business development while ensuring compliance and safety.

Joshua Thompson

Josh is a lawyer and owner at Thompson & Spolarich PLLC. His legal expertise and experience in business law will be instrumental in guiding the EDA through the various legal aspects of economic development. Joshua’s commitment to supporting local businesses and ensuring legal compliance will be a significant asset to our board.
